Odd VTF in team fortress 2 materials GCF

I Have No Idea What These Do

I was looking through the team fortress 2 materials GCF, specifically in the vgui folder, and I found some things that didn't have any reason to be there, as far as I knew. I'll tell where they are and what they're called, so maybe you could tell me.

materials\vgui - awning

materials\vgui - tf_box (I know what it is, but not why it would be there)

materials\vgui\gfx\VGUI - TF_logo (that's the counter-strike source logo. Why is it in the TF2 files?)

Any info would be appreciated.
