Thanks to Kaizen’s TF2 FPS Config, the Ubercharges look horrible, my envmaps don't show at all, and alot of my setting are stuck in it's config when I uninstalled it like it told me to do. Now I'm pissed and just want to know how to get this junk out of my files and back to at least default so I can reconfigure it to my liking again.

Your best bet is probably to just reinstall the game.

You could go through the optimization config file and revert everything back to default in your own config file.

You can try Chris's FPS config. http://fakkelbrigade.eu/chris/configs/ Works just fine for me.

type -autoconfig into start up commands, and tada! Fixed! It resets ALL your settings to factory settings,so it's like playing tf2 for the first time, unedited graphics.

You need to reset your TF2 configuration files to the defaults. To do this, add the following in your TF2 startup launch options:

    -autoconfig

This will essentially ignore all .cfg files and set all video and performance options to the default for your hardware. This may cause the video resolution to reset to 800x600, but you can change everything back to how you'd like it. Just make sure that once you've re-saved all the settings, you close TF2 and remove that startup option otherwise it will keep resetting!

    EDIT: SenorSmoothyBuns: ninja'd.

    Too busy to make ubers!

Doesn't reset it to 800x600,it resets the screen size to the native setting. I use 1440x900,and that's my native screen,so whenever I switch to dxlevel 90 or 81,it'll stay that way till I get rid of the commands, same for -autoconfig,but it stays at 1440x900 until I switch it.

    • Takin that ninja back EDIT: Didn't see the "may" in it,still takin the ninja back
