Attach model-skin to player

By DasMatze 4 years ago

Hi!

I created a simple skin for the razorback with SketchUp:

I named the bone bigspine2 (like the real razorback) but it isn't attached to the snipers back in the game. I looked through the qc commands but I don't know what I have to do. It moves with the snipers origin.

Any help is appreciated!

You have to open it in a program like milkshape and adjust its position so it is on the bone or whatever, I think.

Yes, as I wrote it is in the game but it's not attached to the Snipers back.

Compare the bones location between your version and the original in model viewer.

It's not the wrong position, otherwise it would at least rotate with the snipers back: Image and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPic

"I created a simple skin for the razorback with SketchUp:"

I know that SketchUp isn't meant for modeling but I wanted to try it anyway. Props work fine and I thought the error might be somewhere else and can be fixed without Milkshape, 3dsMax, Cinema 4D, XSI or Blender.

Mmh ... I don't have it and I wouldn't buy it for some models. I'm too dumb to fully use and understand it anyway.

So this will be just another of my dozens of projects that got scrapped. Maybe someone can pick up that idea later again.

Have you tried XSI mod tool? I haven't had any issues with bones using that. I would try using that then enveloping the mesh to a bone made in that.

Well, Milkshape 3D is a very, very good Program. Its easy to understand and you can hack other Models on Animations in some Minutes.. oh and.. cough you can get Milkshape in a other way, without to pay.. cough.
