System requirements

Ok, i bought the orange box a while ago, and i played tf2, but it lagged really bad, i think i had like 5 fps. and i was wondering, wat do i need to upgrade my pc, i did once try to lower my -dxlevel to 8, it helped but not by much, so what can i buy to fix up my pc so i can play tf2 with 60-100 fps?

Here are my computer specs:

system: microsoft xp

home edition

version 2002

service pack 2

Emachines w3107

AMD Semptron (tm) proccessor 3100+

1.81GHz, 1.37 GB of RAM

idk wat my graphix card is, i think its a Nvidia 6100 series , not sure though. can u guys plz help me?

    A completely new system. Your processor is weak, and you have an integrated video card. No config is going to get you a playable frame rate, and your motherboard is more than likely AGP which means that you can't buy a very good video card.

    I suggest you build your own system. I'm not really sure what good a picture of a computer would do, what the case looks like doesn't affect performance.

    no im saying like tell me wat company from and some good products to have on it, and even like tell me wat os, like vista or xp, that kinda stuff

    I wouldn't buy a prebuilt computer. I'd build it myself. As for the parts, that really depends on how much you want to spend.

    Not really IMO if your goal is 60-100fps

    You could try using some parts from your current pc if you plan to spend that much.
