Some of my friends experiencing same problem as me, lags! It started few weeks ago, first what is happening is, after approximately 15 min, fps droping down up to 40%, after 5 min more lags appears, like lost connection, but witout "lost connection" notices. I tryed to change video settings, network setting, i even changed my antivirus/firewall just to find problem for that. Then I decide to check memory and i found that TF2 using too much. I have 1GB DDR2 memory. Before i turn TF2 on I haved 750mb free memory, and TF2 eat all of it, and crazy lags appears after memory is out. Now, the heapsize settings i have is: memmaxheapsize 256 memminheapsize 48 And I tryed to change heapsize settings in "launch options" from -heapsize 448000 to 512000, also removing it from "launch options" Nothing helps!!!
