Most likely not. The Polycount/Mann Co update changed the pistol into a c_model, which means that only the model can be changed, not the animations. Also, it means that any weapon you're willing to have without the new animations need to be recompiled.
They changed it into a c_model so that they could easily just slap the Shortstop into the holding position for the pistol.
c_models are also used for lowering file size, since there's only one model, not one for each class. PLUS, there's a CLEARLY marked arm animation file in .mdl format. edit anims there, and put model in the c model. Boom, fixed skin.
