It sucked in beige.

Hi.. So as promised, I made the Hex Widowmaker. In my opinion it sucked a** in beige. And it had the most comfortable work area, especially after doubling the resolution. This one was a bit harder than the heatmaker.

I went again with the dark metal... since it looked good on the first one. And it almost took me 6 hours to make this well, since I tested almost 15 combinations of camo placement and metal color.

Looks like some type of metal camo. Might look good with a normal map, which I haven't tried making yet.

Heres a fun fact, sometime the game bugs out for me and this weapon gets a reloading animation randomly, also the robot hand turns back into the glove neat huh?

I like it, but I like to stay away from camo skins. The quest for a decent and usable widowmaker skin goes on. Though I like what you did with the dark metal there.

No, since the itemtest is bugged as hell, most weapons don't have their own stats.. the widowmaker acts like a normal shotgun, the heatmaker acts like a normal sniper. That's how it worked :S

and @anonymous, some camos look good on some skins, some don't... and maybe they're getting low ratings cause the job is poorly done.. I spent around 6 hours working on this thing to make it as close to perfect as I could. The PSD I was working on ended up having 37 layers... That's not "just pasting a texture", Open the VTF yourself and see.

Yeah, cause it's not like he cropped the texture around the weapon and put it into the appropriate places.

That's just silly!

Implying you cant paste this over a weapon and get the same or similar effect...it doesn't even have to be cropped right the game does that mostly on its own, now i can understand the inside work however this still begs to differ why this is getting 10/10 when skins JUST LIKE THIS ONE gets under a 6 every time and people hate them. Make logic out of that.

Who cares if the texture is pasted over? That's what a skin is. The difference between this skin and others is the quality of the application and quality of the texture.

Oh yeah I pasted.. sure I pasted, give me a goddamn break. If you're gonna shit on other people's submissions, why not say it with your actual name, instead of hiding behind anonymity.

To allow my words to speak rather then a username also deal with it. Also its not giving you shit its asking a normal question that most people on this site should ask by now given the other camo skins similar to this one that got so low ratings.
