"Utsuho's Control Rod" skin for the Black Box, by U.N.Owen

It's just a very simple skin of the Black Box, based on Utsuho's "Control Rod" from the Touhou series.

It's my first skin, and very simple, don't expect anything mesmerizing. It just took me a couple of hours to make it. I'm only uploading it because I want to know other people's opinion, so I can improve following skins I do.

(Also, I suck giant Yeti balls at doing cool screenshots.)

Place the tf folder in your tf2 directory under:

C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\team fortress 2\

First off, love the launcher's concept, but it IS a bit to ugly of an orange to be using, it needs a more dull color rather then the orange it is now. Other then that, awesome job, will definintly download if you add that alternative in.

Actually, Instead of just doing a recolor of the BB, I'm trying to learn Blender, and do an actual model of the Control Rod. Got a few models, I'm trying to polish 'em.

Thanks, although I didn't do much, I did design the edges to better appearence. Aside from that: Oh god please yes. The thought of that is amazing. A friendly little note though, it might be cool for others if you added in alternatives to the skin. Such as a black control rod theme that keeps after the black box instead of the tan/orange color it would normally be if themed specifically after the original control rod.

Anywho sounds good, can't wait to see.

It doesn't take a master skinner to say this skin is retarded looking with an overlay.

You obviously didn't know where this originated from, therefor you don't know how this actually looks well made

You should somehow do this for the original, the shape looks more like the control rod Okuu has.

(and they both spawn endless "male-part" jokes.

An hexagon shape, right? I thought of that too, but I still don't know how to open models, much less editing them. My idea is to follow some tutorials and update it with the model I make.

Yup, I'm not convinced on how it looks, but still, it's the same color pattern the control rod has, so I don't know what to do to improve it's looks. Any ideas?
