Simple paint overs with few pasted decals.
Step one: Acquire original textures.
Step two: Make parts you want white in Black and White
Step three: using Brightness and Contrast make the parts Bright enough and add contrast so you keep the detail, but don't make it too bright with too much contrast, or you will get those pixelated crap all over it!
Step four: If done right, then paste all the decals you want
If done right, should look good and legit.
