Deathmatch map

Two sides are the same with a ravine in the middle. There are three planks to cross it. When you fall down your dead :)

The map is not too big but perfect for some epic deathmatch action. It has a 3d skybox and a nice warm feel to it.

    Maybe yes, but it's an open area witch makes it harder for a pyro to stay alive.

    Pros:

    • Loading screen pictures. Makes the map look professional, not sure if that is the right adjective.
    • Nice clean spawn-room. I really like the rocks in the back that you can climb up to get to the sniper position.
    • Interesting doors, never seen 'em go sideways.
    • I like the obstacles that you have place around the battlefield to break-up the battle.
    • The bridge is interesting, giving classes like Pyro, Soldier, and Demo the ability to use it to their advantage with their weapon's pushback capabilities.
    • The sniper position is for the co-responding class only.

    Cons:

    • A NoDraw texture is visible on the door, if you look at the side that is normally on the wall while it opens, it is invisible. This may not be a NoDraw texture, but it's not visible.
    • The battlefield seems too flat.
    • Map favors snipers too much. I think that the map is too wide-open, favoring the use of camping snipers.
    • The skyline seems very boring, the simple TF2-esque gradient skybox is kind of boring and dull.
    • The ravine in the center of the map is kind of boring.
    • Delay when you hit the ground and when you actually die in the ravine.
    • No NAV!

    Improvements:

    • Replace texture on side of the doors.
    • Add some more extreme displacements on the battlefield to further break-up the battle. Giving the cowards some cover, and the brave a chance to attack and run over.
    • Add some more depth to break-up the battle and give close-range classes a chance.
    • The bridge seems as though it is inside of the mountain and does not look very realistic. Raise it up to look as though it is sitting on the ground, and add some supports?
    • As I said, some more extreme displacements! Include this in the ravine to make it look more deadly. Maybe add some more props down there like wrecked cars or something like that to make it look better.
    • Either raise the damage of the trigger_hurt, raise it up, or both!
    • Maybe include some navigation for the map? It would make it more fun, as it is hard to play a map like this alone.

    Notes:

    • This map looks alright in a gameplay stance, but I can't say much as I cannot play it in a pub.

    Rating:

    • I give this map an even 8/10. I liked it, it has great potential, just needs a few tweaks. Keep up the good work!

    you must think, i dont know what is in the map, if u write info about it i maybe will download it^^, no info always bad ...

    you can also say if it's small or big map or sunny map and fast gameplay or how many player can join and anything u can think
