    Oh boy. This issue is a bit tricky.

    First of all, you'll need a .RES file editor. Preferably Notepad++. I use that to edit my own stuff.

    Once that's downloaded and installed, look for the file called "HudPlayerHealth". The location should be as follows: Steam/steamapps/YOURUSERNAME/team fortress 2/tf/resource/ui/HudPlayerHealth. Go ahead and open that file with Notepad++ (right click the file and select it that way).

    Once you open it, you're looking for two different domains: "PlayerStatusClassImageBG" and "PlayerStatusClassImageBG2". Under both of them, look for the variables "visible" and "enabled". Set their values from "1" to "0" and save the changes. Now the bars on the health will disappear!

    The cross background is in evehud itself not the this. If you want to remove the cross you'll have to scour through the the evehud files yourself and find it.

    I'm a little confused. Okay, you take the UI folder out of "Resources," but where do you put it? In materials, hud, what?

    Into TF2. You know, where all the files start in, like Resources.

    I tried that. It didn't work. D: I'll try putting it in tf2 folder that has "tf" and that stuff in it instead and see if that works.

    Edit: Nope. Still doesn't work. :/

    Sorry, I meant to say in the tf file itself. ^-^;

    Just incase you haven't seen, I'll reply to you too. If you put the ui file out of resource file and take it into the tf2 file, you'll once again see the numbers on the awesome heart!
